Last Word Training. Just £600 + 3 days = transformation

Three days. That’s all it took me to prepare for life as a funeral celebrant. It was the start of a career which I enjoy to this day, and which earns me a very good living. That was twelve years ago. I was trained by the founder of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants. The course I took lasted three days, and still does.

I learnt how to be a success and I can teach you...but my three day course is £600 instead of well over £1000, which is the cost of most online training.

I learnt a lot when I first studied celebrancy. I can teach you even more. Since I trained, I have conducted well over three thousand funeral ceremonies and I continue to work as a funeral celebrant, keeping up to date with everything that’s happening. The benefit of my experience can be yours.

Let’s explode the myths

You’re clearly looking at all kinds of funeral celebrancy trainers, academies and courses and struggling to make sense of them. Don’t even try! Forget the ‘qualifications’ that sound so impressive. They won’t get you work. You will.

At the end of my course, I was awarded a certificate. Fine. But NOT ONE funeral director, not one bereaved family or anyone else has EVER asked me where I trained or wished to see my qualifications.

The reason?

There is NO compulsory – or even recognised - qualification necessary to become a funeral celebrant.

I repeat, because you probably won’t believe it. There is NO national exam you have to pass. NO regulations. There should be, but there aren’t. So all the impressive sounding stuff you’re reading about ’Level this’ and Level that...forget it. It’s an attempt to blind you with science. And when you’re out there, trying to earn a living, it means absolutely nothing.

If you know what you’re doing, have been thoroughly trained and have the right personal qualities, that’s what counts. And it starts with good training, rooted in integrity and experience.

I believe in the power of a good funeral celebrant to make a real difference. A celebrant who is kind, capable and professional can be critical at a time of grief and loss. And so. I set out to train people to the very highest standards, as I myself was trained. And at the end of my three day course, you won’t just know what you’re doing, you’ll have the confidence to get out there and turn theory into practice.

And for your benefit, you will receive a certificate proving that you’ve made the grade with Last Word Training. It will be good to have, to prove to yourself that you’ve got what it takes. If you think you have, I’ll teach you how to succeed.

Who runs this course?

Me! A full time funeral celebrant with over twelve years experience of taking over three thousand funeral of all kinds, for all types of people of all ages and across all social classes. It’s taught me a lot. I’m here to share what I’ve learned.

Crucially, you’ll also get to understand how the business works, not just from your own, funeral celebrant’s point of view...most importantly, you’ll learn what funeral directors are looking for when they hire a celebrant. And when you understand this, you’ll have the edge on the competition.

Who I work FOR

‘My family firm was established in 1875, and we are one of an ever-diminishing number of truly independent funeral directors in the country. Our service is both painstaking and personal in a way that makes us unique. As a family firm, we employ only the best outside suppliers, fully aware that they represent us in all they do. Louise has worked for us as a funeral celebrant for around ten years. She ‘goes the extra mile’ in all she does and I am happy to recommend her services. So much so that, when my own family had a recent bereavement, she was the celebrant we called upon.’

Oliver Towner
Managing Director

‘I have worked with Louise  for a number of years, and do so still on a regular basis. Louise’s approach to her work is always efficient, reliable and organised, working closely with the Funeral Directors and families alike. The time and attention she takes to understand both the deceased’s and the family’s wishes, allows her to construct services that are unique and personalised and it is clear she has, not only compassion for the families she works with, but passion and dedication for her choice of work, in the writing of the service and its delivery on the day. I have also had the chance to work with other celebrants with whom Louise has acted as mentor and it is clear her influence and good practices have had a positive impact on their own approach to funeral celebrancy.’

Angela Croft
Funeral Director

‘As a local funeral director, I have worked with Louise for around ten years. Louise has a wonderful rapport, understanding and empathy for every family she works with. Louise’s writing skills enable her to truly capture the essence of a family’s loved one and deliver a top class, individually tailored service every single time. I hope to work alongside Louise for many more years!‘
